On October 19th 2021 a small VIMM delegation was received by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella at Quirinale, celebrating 25 years of our Foundation.
An important day to remember for the Foundation and its operational arm, the Veneto Institute of Molecular Medicine (VIMM), which today counts on a team of 180 researchers from all over the world divided into 20 research groups and supervised by 5 areas of expertise. Each research team is led and coordinated by Principal Investigators, five of whom took part in the delegation received by the Head of State: Milena Bellin, Bert Blaauw, Maurizio Corbetta, Marco Sandri and Gian Paolo Fadini.
“It was an honor and a privilege to meet President Mattarella and transmit to him the dedication and enthusiasm with which we have been carrying out our research work for 25 years – comments the President of the Foundation, Francesco Pagano – In recent years and months, in where we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we have always felt the closeness and attention of the institutions. Today, more than ever, research needs all possible support, and this day strengthens us in the conviction that we are working on an important project, which looks to the future with hope and enthusiasm ”.
