A team of researchers from VIMM – Veneto Institute of Molecular Medicine and the University of Padua has identified the mechanisms that allow brown bears to maintain their muscle mass during hibernation. This discovery could pave the way for groundbreaking therapies, helping those forced to stop for long periods due to illness or injury.
