Vanina Romanello studies the cellular and metabolic mechanisms that regulate the function and maintenance of skeletal muscle, analyzing how muscle cells produce energy and which processes contribute to their weakening during aging, in sarcopenia, and in various neuromuscular and metabolic disorders.
