Francesco Piazza is a hematologist and researcher. His research focuses on multiple myeloma and lymphomas, studying molecular mechanisms and new therapeutic targets.
Francesco Piazza is a clinician and researcher at VIMM, where he studies blood cancers, particularly multiple myeloma and certain types of lymphomas. His work aims to understand why B lymphocytes — key cells of the immune system — sometimes turn into cancer cells and begin to grow uncontrollably. His research group seeks to identify the molecular mechanisms that drive this transformation and to use them to develop new targeted therapies, with the goal of making treatments more effective and less toxic for patients.
